Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image, set a size limit and check the result before downloading.

1. Size and format

For forms, choose an accepted format (often JPG). PNG quality cannot be reduced freely; lowering the resolution may be necessary.

2. Crop and dimensions

Without exact dimensions, the tool can reduce resolution to meet the size limit. With exact dimensions, the file may exceed the limit.

How to compress a photo online without uploading it

Need to send a photo that is too large for a form, email or message? Choose a size limit, select an image and download the result. The photo is processed inside your browser on your own device. You can resize, crop and choose JPG, PNG or WebP.

How do I reduce a picture to 100 KB?

Choose the 100 KB limit, select a JPG, PNG or WebP photo, and tap Prepare my photo. Check the resulting size before saving it: complex images or exact dimension settings may prevent the target from being met.

What is the difference between KB and pixels?

KB describes a file’s size; pixels describe its width and height. If a form requests both, set the dimensions as well as the file-size limit and verify the outcome.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. Image processing takes place locally in your browser. Page analytics and advertising services may process technical information, but your photo itself is not submitted to them.

Can I use the result for an official application?

You can prepare a photo for a form, but meeting a file-size limit does not guarantee that a government agency or other organization will accept it. Check the required format, crop and dimensions.
